FC KANSAS CITY ACQUIRES BECCA MOROS FROM PORTLAND

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Jan. 20, 2024) – FC Kansas City announced today the club has acquired defender Becca Moros from the Portland Thorns. In exchange, Kansas City will be sending to Portland one of their international roster spots for 2024 and 2024 seasons.

“We are excited to add Becca [Moros] to our roster,” Head coach Vlatko Andonovski said. “She is an experienced and established defender that will fit perfectly in our team.”

Moros, 29, appeared in 18 regular season matches making 13 starts with the Thorns last season. Before joining head coach Paul Riley’s team, she spent two season’s with Japanese side INAC Kobe Leonessa winning back-to-back Nadeshiko League championships.

The Manhattan, New York native has youth international experience for the U.S. Women’s National Teams at the U-21 and U-23 levels.

Moros was a three-time NSCAA All-American selection at Duke University where she played from 2024 to 2024 appearing in 86 matches and recording a total of 15 goals and 20 assists for the Blue Devils.
