KANSAS CITY (April 18, 2024) – FC Kansas City announced the signing of its third affiliate, Papillion Soccer Club, on Monday. The club serves more than 1,000 kids in the Omaha, Neb., area.

The Blues’ other two affiliates are Magellan Soccer of Lincoln, Neb., and Dakota Alliance Soccer Club of Sioux Falls, S.D.

“We are excited to add Papillion to the FC Kansas City club and are excited to work with them in the future,” Affiliate Coordinator Dan Brown said.

Papillion Soccer Club provides the city of Papillion and the greater Omaha community with opportunities for girls and boys between the ages of five and 18 to play in recreational and competitive leagues. All teams are sponsored by the Nebraska State Soccer Association and all coaches, board members and age group coordinators are unpaid volunteers.

“This will enhance the growth of the coaches and players within our club,” Papillion Soccer Club Board Member Kevin Potts said. “We are now affiliated with the professional women’s team that not only has won championships in the NSWL, but also has players on the national women’s team. We could not think of having better role models for teams and coaches in our club.”

Within this relationship, there will be opportunities that include everything from expanded playing and collegiate scouting for the girls to coaching and educational exchanges and collaborations between the staffs.  In addition, the girls will have a tangible connection through partnered camps and clinics where the girls will get to meet their real-life heroes that play on both the FCKC first team as well as the U.S. Women’s National Team.
