PLAYER PROFILE: MANDY LADDISH IS 'HUNGRY FOR MORE'

Laddish has started in FC Kansas City's last three games recording one assist

Mandy Laddish, a Lee’s Summit, MO native started playing the beautiful game at the age of three and hasn’t looked back since. After progressing rapidly through youth club play and having a successful high school career at Lee’s Summit high school, Laddish transitioned to the University of Notre Dame to continue playing the game she loves.

While playing for the Fighting Irish, Laddish was part of a National championship in 2024. “Winning the National Championship was probably the most proud moment of my life so far.” Laddish said.

When asked to stop and think about living her dream of playing professional soccer she very honestly said “I find a sense of pride that I was able to make it this far. In one aspect I am very proud and humbled to be a professional athlete, but in another, I’m not satisfied with where I’m at right now, I’m hungry for more.”

Mandy Laddish and her FC Kansas City teammates are fighting to defend their NWSL 2024 Championship title. “There’s a huge sense of pride when you’re playing (in your hometown) because you’re playing for your city and it’s the city you grew up in. It’s been really awesome to see soccer grow in Kansas City and for it to be called the Soccer Capital of America is amazing.” Laddish shared.

FC Kansas City has been a huge part of the soccer growth in Kansas City and continues to inspire young athletes to live their dreams of playing professionally, just like Mandy Laddish. “To have people come to Kansas City to look for good players now is really something that is amazing to me.” Laddish added.
