FC KANSAS CITY AND BORDEN CHEESE TEAM UP WITH AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY HOPE LODGE

FC Kansas City players will visit the Hope Lodge this Thursday

 

KANSAS CITY, MO. (June 10, 2024) – The reigning National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) Champions, FC Kansas City and Borden Cheese will visit the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge this Thursday with hopes of providing both guests and caregivers an evening full of entertainment.

In efforts to ease the burden of cancer treatment, Borden Cheese and FC Kansas City players Nicole Barnhart, Katelyn Rowland, Meghan Lisenby, Caroline Kastor, Kaysie Clark and Sarah Hagen will engage and interact with the guests, staff and volunteers.

In addition, Borden Cheese is donating all necessary groceries and with the help of FC Kansas City players and staff will prepare dinner for all attendees. Players will also be leading a fun Bingo tournament throughout the evening.

About Hope Lodge:

The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge provides free housing to cancer patients traveling to Kansas City for treatment. Finding emotional and social support from other survivors can be as important as getting the proper medical care. At Hope Lodge, patients live with other patients going through similar experiences and are supported by caring staff and volunteers. The nurturing, comfortable environment provided to patients during their stay allows them to focus on what is most important – fighting cancer!
